Research & Teaching Interests
I'm a digital/public historian specializing in the interpretation of cultural landscapes and sites of memory associated with African American, Southern, and Atlantic World history. At the University of Central Florida I teach a range of undergraduate courses (Viewing American History, History of the American South, History of the Interwar Years, etc.) that feature hands-on work with digital resources. This semester, at the graduate level, I 'm teaching a seminar, History in the Digital Age, specifically designed for History M.A. candidates and Texts & Technology Ph.D. candidates.
